Explore Yasu Guys

If you ever find yourself in Van Nuys and craving something satisfying yet a little different, Yasu Guys is a spot I’d definitely point you toward. Tucked into a small plaza, it might not look flashy at first glance, but it has quietly built a reputation as a local gem worth seeking out. Parking can be a bit tight depending on the time of day, though there’s usually a mix of plaza and street options if you’re patient.

What really makes this place stand out is the food. Their gyros are a highlight-served with soft, pillowy pita and savory, well-seasoned meat that hits that perfect balance of juicy and flavorful. The tzatziki sauce adds a refreshing, creamy contrast that ties everything together beautifully. Beyond the classics, they offer creative twists like their crunchwraps, which are not something you see everywhere. The beef and lamb version comes packed with bold flavor and a satisfying crunch from the tortilla, while the garlic chicken option is especially popular for its tenderness and the extra punch from garlic sauce and banana peppers.

The menu also has small touches that elevate the experience, like finishing your meal with a piece of sweet, flaky baklava paired with hot tea. It gives the whole visit a comforting, almost homestyle feel. Even the sides don’t disappoint-crispy French fries are a hit across all ages.

Service here tends to be warm and efficient, with staff who make you feel welcome and keep things moving without rushing you. It’s the kind of casual, no-frills place where the focus is squarely on delivering bold, satisfying flavors, and it manages to do that consistently enough that people are willing to drive across the city just to grab a bite.

I literally drank this crunch wrap and it immediately became one of my favorite things I’ve eaten this year. We ordered take out and I got the chicken classic crunch wrap. The wrap was perfectly cooked, held its shape and held together filling without getting soggy. The chicken was well seasoned and flavorful. But for me it was about the way the banana peppers melted to form a juicy flavorful bite that made it a top memorable dish. Def will order from here again.

I'm so happy I decided to visit yasu guys, I had the most amazing experience! If you love Greek flavors but also appreciate a modern, creative spin on classic dishes, this place absolutely delivers in all aspects! I ordered their Chicken Crunch Wrap, which is their take on a Greek gyro but reimagined in a way that feels fresh and fun. Think traditional gyro flavors like seasoned chicken, creamy sauces, crisp veggies, but wrapped up in a perfectly toasted, golden, handheld format that gives you that satisfying crunch in every bite. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, not dry at all. The balance of textures is what really got me. The tender meat, cool and creamy elements, and that crisp outer layer that ties everything together. It's comforting but also feels elevated at the same time. What I loved most is that it didn't feel greasy or heavy. Sometimes wraps like this can feel overwhelming, but this was flavorful without being too much. Every bite had that herby, savory Greek profile, but with a modern street-food twist that makes it super craveable. And the baklava cheesecake! I'm not exaggerating when I say this might be one of the best cheesecakes I've had in a long time. It's such a genius concept that combines the rich, creamy texture of cheesecake with the sweet, nutty, honeyed layers of baklava. The cheesecake itself was smooth and decadent, not overly sweet, and the baklava elements added that perfect crunch and warmth from the spices and nuts. The service was beyond great, seriously feels like I stepped into a place where they treat everyone like family. Super hospitable and welcoming. There were some regulars there when I visited and they talk amongst themselves like if they're family as well. I loved the vibes here! Overall, Yasu Guys really impressed me. It feels like a spot that understands traditional flavors but isn't afraid to experiment and modernize them. The food is well-executed, and genuinely exciting. If you're into Greek food but want something a little different from the usual gyro plate, this is your place. Already planning my next visit! Thank you for having me.

First time trying. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall. Walking in, it is still pretty spartan, as they are just getting this location going. The guys working were friendly and helpful. They were also apologetic as they were out of the beef and lamb gyros meat. I ended up getting the chicken gyro crunch wrap. I also got the Garlic Parm loaded fries. My wife got the Classic Chicken Rice Plate. My wrap was good, but they use a tortilla, which was not substantial enough. My wrap was a bit hard to eat as it was falling apart. Probably because everything was very juicy. It was very good from a taste perspective. The fries were also really good. My wife's plate was good, but she would have preferred the beef, rather than the chicken plate. The owner was very gracious and gave us a complementary cheesecake slice. That was really good. Overall, they are just starting this location and are still working out the kinks, but based on the service and what we had this place will do very well.

This place is a SFV gem. Someone recommended it on reddit and I was so happy we stopped by. The food was bomb! We ate the traditional Gyro's. The Taziki sauce was delicious. Our toddler loved the French fries. Overall this is a nice little spot. Parking was a little rough since they are located in a very small plaza but thankfully we were able to get a spot quickly. We will definitely come eat here again.

I had a chance to try this place tonight and man were their French fries amazing. Before they had a store, they were running like a ghost kitchen near where I live on Woodman but now they have a store in Van Nuys. They will sometime set up outside but if it's too cold or raining then they'll be inside. The place is still a work in progress so just give them time. I was able to find parking in the small plaza this place is located in at 8pm. When I walked inside, the owner was so energetic and nice. I went with the Chicken Classic Gyro and regular fries. He told me it would take about 10 minutes. After my food was ready, I left them tip with my card and left. I'm not sure if they take cash because I didn't see a cash register. When I got home, I ate the fries first and the seasoning was too notch. The chicken gyro was okay but not my favorite. I shared it with my mom and she like it more than I did. I would gladly come back here for the fries and maybe try something else.

We drove from Hollywood to try their Gyros and crunchwraps after seeing a post online, and we were not disappointed. Garlic chicken crunchwrap was delicious. Chicken was cooked well, and I highly recommend getting the garlic sauce & banana peppers. The added flavor and juiciness sauce up the crunchwrap perfectly. The beef gyro is on a other level. Perfect savory/salty beef complimented by the pillowy pita. I'd eat this every day.

I was looking around for a cuisine that I dont normally have an opportunity to have, and I saw this lovely Greek shop. Such a good dinner decision! The staff were kind and attentive, first and foremost, which I appreciated. I had the falafel gyro with garlic parm fries, and I was going to have the baklava, but they were out! They offered me the s'more gyro as an alternative since I'm not a fan of cheesecake. The falafel was well seasoned with the veggies providing a bright and fresh contrast. The fries were crispy and very garlicky (my fav!!) with a tzatziki sauce that brought a nice creaminess. And the s'more gyro?? I wasn't disappointed, and I will definitely be ordering it myself next time! They also had some lovely Greek rap playing while I waited for my to-go, which I enjoyed immensely. Overall, I'd come again and try something new on the menu

The Service: Ed was taking my order. He is friendly & prepared my food right away. The Food: I tried the beef lamb crunch wrap which I have not seen at any other places. Crunchy tortilla with full of flavorful beef & lamb. Love the pepper, add some good texture. It is indeed a big wrap. It's nice to have a piece of sweet baklava to go with my hot tea after my dinner. The Parking: Small plaza parking lot and street parking (free)
